About The Parlor Room

The Parlor Room is an intimate listening room and community music space at 32 Masonic St. in downtown Northampton.

The venue hosts concerts, open mics, workshops, and special events in a warm, close-up setting where artists and audiences can connect directly.

Opened by Signature Sounds Recordings in 2012 alongside its offices, The Parlor Room grew past the record label's original vision into a vital part of Northampton's music scene, hosting over 1,000 performances in its first decade and becoming a beloved community event and artist development space. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Parlor Room Home Sessions raised over $100,000 for touring artists.

In January 2023, The Parlor Room Collective nonprofit was founded to ensure the venue could continue serving artists, audiences, and the downtown community.

Past performers include Lake Street Dive, Black Francis, Anaïs Mitchell, Rhiannon Giddens, Sean Watkins, Lady Lamb, Adrienne Lenker, Chris Smither, Juliana Hatfield, Brown Bird, The Suitcase Junket, Gregory Alan Isakov, and thousands more.
