WE ARE SEEKING PEOPLE FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:
DIGITAL MARKETING ASSISTANT
Part-Time | 20–25 hrs/week | $20/hrThe Parlor Room Collective is seeking a part-time Digital Marketing Assistant to support our growing nonprofit arts organization. This role begins at 20–25 hours per week, with potential to expand.
The ideal candidate is passionate about live music, community, and creative nonprofit work. They’re organized, collaborative, and adaptable—comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Candidates should have a strong understanding of marketing and social media best practices, proficiency with Google apps, and confidence using digital tools and learning new systems. Some experience with basic web and graphic design is preferred.
This position is primarily in-person, with some flexibility for remote work.
Responsibilities
Email Marketing
Develop and maintain a consistent, engaging, and on-brand email campaign template
Plan and execute the organization’s regular email calendar, including:
Weekly announcements (Tuesdays)
On-sale updates (Fridays)
Membership and general marketing emails
Draft and distribute supplemental promotional emails as needed
Monitor engagement metrics to inform strategy
Social Media Management
Manage and schedule posts across organizational accounts to maximize engagement
Coordinate announcement and on-sale posts according to weekly schedules from the administrative team
Create and share content that reflects our mission, promotes events, and supports development and membership initiatives
Design simple graphics (Canva) and edit short promotional videos as needed
Attend 2–3 events per week to capture content (includes a +1 to shows you choose to attend)
Monitor engagement analytics and stay current on social media trends
Website
Audit the website and contribute to meaningful improvements that enhance accessibility, impact, and storytelling while reinforcing brand and organizational goals
Review periodically for errors, missing information, and needed content updates
Potential for the role to expand to include more direct web design work as the organization grows
Additional Responsibilities
Attend 1–3 weekly staff meetings as needed
Assist with obtaining marketing materials from artists
Support general marketing initiatives, including:
Assist in organizing unique marketing activations
such as giveaways, community tabling opportunities, promotional trades, etc
Managing communications related to marketing material distribution (poster team, PRCO Collective Notes, etc.)

FOOD RUNNER
The Iron Horse is seeking energetic and reliable Food Runners to join our Operations team. This role is key to ensuring our guests have a great experience in a fast-paced, live music environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver food and drinks from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately
Assist with counter service orders and operate the POS system as needed
Clear and reset tables, keeping the floor clean and organized
Assist in moving venue furniture and equipment (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs)
Anticipate and respond to guest needs promptly and professionally
Deliver artist meals to The Parlor Room pre-show
Qualifications:
Restaurant or bar experience preferred, but not required
Ability to move quickly, multitask, and stay organized under pressure
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Positive attitude and customer-focused mindset

LINE COOKS / PREP COOKS
The Iron Horse is Seeking Line & Prep Cooks. Interested candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience and be comfortable with all the general fundamentals. You should have your own knives and tools and know how to stay organized and work cleanly. You will be working with a small, concise menu with a big focus on seasonality and technique. We want to make thoughtful and exciting food, so we’re more interested in ambition and attention to detail than anything else.
We have both full and part time Line and Prep positions available with a flexible schedule.
